Our Role in Rwanda's Democratic Journey
Free Rwanda is a political organisation that adheres to a socialist ideology. It should be noted that the tenets of Marxism, Leninism and Maoism are not espoused by this organisation. Rather, we are progressive Africans who adhere to the tenets of a true market economy, which should be accessible to all, and a progressive society with an inclusive social system for all.
The social system of the previous and current regimes has been designed to benefit only two groups of people, namely the Hutu and Tutsi. Despite the marginalisation of the Batwa and individuals of mixed heritage, there has been a notable absence of political action from both the government and opposition parties to address this injustice.
We advocate for a market economy that is genuinely competitive and permits unrestricted entry into the market. However, the capitalistic model in Rwanda is characterised by a parasitic monopoly, which is controlled by 0.1% of the entire Rwandan population. As a result, the capitalist model in Rwanda is an illusion, which is why the majority of Rwandans are living in extreme poverty. The economic model in Rwanda is more akin to a mafia-style system designed to benefit a select few individuals, rather than a model that serves the interests of the general population.

This organisation operates with a socialist ideology, aiming to create an inclusive society where all citizens have equal opportunities and rights.

The mission of Free Rwanda Political Organisation is to challenge the existing socio-political structures that perpetuate inequality and injustice. It envisions a Rwanda where power is decentralized, and the wealth of the nation is equitably distributed among its people. The organisation strives to build a society that values human rights, transparency, and accountability.
Key Functions
- Advocacy and Activism: Free Rwanda actively campaigns against human rights abuses and political oppression. It provides a platform for marginalized voices and works to protect the rights of all citizens, regardless of their ethnic or social background.
- Public Awareness and Education: The organisation engages in extensive public education campaigns to raise awareness about social and political issues. It uses various media channels to inform and educate the public about their rights and the importance of civic participation.
- Policy Development: Free Rwanda develops and promotes policies that aim to reduce poverty, improve healthcare, and enhance education. It advocates for economic reforms that support small businesses and create jobs for the youth.
